Call to Worship Jacob Trapp
One: To worship is to stand in awe under a heaven of stars, before a flower, a leaf in sunlight or a grain of sand.
Many: To worship is to work with dedication and with skill; it is to pause from work and listen to a strain of music.
One: Worship is loneliness seeking communion; it is a thirsty land crying out for rain.
Many: Worship is the mystery within us reaching out to the mystery beyond. It is an inarticulate silence yearning to speak; it
is the window of the moment open to the sky of the eternal.

Prayer of Invocation and Lord’s Prayer (trespasses)
Our Father (Mother, Creator, God…), who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is
in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
Responsive Psalm Psalm 147:1-11
One: Praise God!
Many: How good it is to sing praises to our God; for God is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting.
One: God builds up Jerusalem; God gathers the outcasts of Israel.
Many: God heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.
One: God determines the number of the stars; God gives to all of them their names.
Many: Great is our God, and abundant in power, whose understanding is beyond measure.
One: God lifts up the downtrodden; God casts the wicked to the ground. Sing to God with thanksgiving; make melody to our God on the lyre.
Many: God covers the heavens with clouds, prepares rain for the earth, and makes grass grow on the hills.
One: God gives to the animals their food, and to the young ravens when they cry.
Many: God has no delight in the strength of the horse, nor pleasure in the speed of a runner;
but God takes pleasure in those who fear God, in those who hope in God's steadfast love.
All: Praise be to God!
